I stink at keeping these things up but I’m going to try really hard!
If you’re totally new to my blog, welcome! Let me tell you a few things about me. I’m a mom and wife first and foremost. I have the most amazing and supportive husband. And our kids are the most wonderful, crazy, fun, wild, entertaining, and maddening children on the planet!
I take pictures. I tried to do it for a living but realized it’s more fun as a paid hobby. I love giving fabulous images to my clients and hearing how much they love their photos. I’m also specializing in what I love; maternity, babies, and children. I tried weddings and they just aren’t for me. But give me a kid’s birthday party and I’m having a blast!
I also knit and paint! I get these little artistic “itches” that I have to scratch. So I’ll knit for a while, then pick up the paint brush. My paintings are all abstract. I can’t draw at all! Even stick figures look weird when I draw them. But abstract, I can do. Knitting is fun and very relaxing. If I have something weighing on my mind, I grab some yarn and needles and get to work. It’s almost like a meditation for me. If I don’t stay focused, I’ll lose count or lose track of the stich I’m on. In that way, I clear my mind and just count. You’ll see most of my knitting work in my photography. I make a lot of knitted props. And I save massive amounts of money doing so!
That’s me in a nutshell. I hope you stick around. I’ll try to make this a photographic diary of sorts.

I’ll have to get out the wood laminate pieces again but it’s going to be nice using a living room as studio space. MORE ROOM!! And new furniture…which I’m planning to also use as props. Can you say Tax Deduction? LOL
